Introduction

Our client is a leading financial spread trading company, based in London. The client offers spread trading on a wide range of markets from shares and indices to bonds and commodities. The other businesses that are part of the client’s portfolio are spread-fair and financial fixed odds (FFO). Customer base for the client is mainly retail customers and they are served through internet and voice trading. The client has taken initiatives for establishing standards and procedures to improve quality of IT delivery by enhancing existing trading processes. The client is looking for a significant improvement in the area of Quality Assurance (QA) to complement development. Testing has been traditionally done by business resources without a detailed functional specifications and test scripts. The client has learnt/identified that this area has been a major bottle neck in delivering quality products to their customers and on time. Hence the client has retained the services of Hexaware to help in setting up QA processes and developing Testing Suite for their trading systems.

Solution:
The scope of the engagement begins with Consulting Services to develop QA road map and ends with the automation & execution of Test Suite. The front office system contains 16 modules and the back office has 13 modules. The trading system supports mobile client, voice client and flash client.
