Lakshmi Narasimhan, Lakshmi to his peers, has been with the Airline industry for 20+ years. Starting his career with Indian Airlines, where he was involved in streamlining the Cargo Interline Billing procedures, Lakshmi moved to the Dubai based Emirates Airlines Group. During his association with the Emirates Group, Lakshmi was initially associated with the critical airline function of Revenue Accounting where he was involved in the development & implementation of complex Revenue Accounting & Proration Systems. He later on moved to Mercator, the sole IT service provider for the Emirates Group and one of the leaders in Airline software. Lakshmi headed the first external implementation of Mercator system Rapid. As part of the implementation process which took him across the globe, Lakshmi interacted with CFOs of many airlines, did process reengineering and

provided valuable suggestions on setting up of processes, organization structure, etc. As head of the implementation team, He was responsible for Product Strategy, Business Analysis and Consultancy, Product Testing and Implementation at customer sites. His team, successfully, implemented the Revenue Accounting systems for 10+ airlines including Malaysian Airlines, Olympic Airways, Srilankan, Royal Brunei, Kenya Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Jet Airways, Grupo Taca and Air Sahara. The team also successfully set-up the BPO processing centers for airlines like Olympic Airways, Etihad and Valueair.

By virtue of his long association with the Airline industry, He is a member of the IATA Ticketing Committee and BSP Data Specifications Group.
