1. How do you see the market for PeopleSoft, post the Oracle-PeopleSoft merger?
We see a strong growth in the PeopleSoft (PS) business globally. License sales have been growing steadily, resulting in higher downstream implementation business for service providers. We also see many companies upgrading to PS 9.0 which is a strong indication of their commitment to PeopleSoft. Oracle’s partner-centric approach, combined with their commitment to PS through ‘Application Unlimited’ and other initiatives, have increased the demand for PS services. We are bullish in our outlook on PeopleSoft.

3. With offshore rates going north, do you see customer spend on ERP maintenance increasing continually?
The per unit costs for ERP have generally been increasing globally, particularly, for the older versions of ERPs. However, IT budgets are what they are and CIO’s look to partners like us to help them drive down the overall cost of ownership. And that is where the maturity and focus of service providers really show.
At Hexaware, innovation and new ideas have been a way of life. We have a dedicated Innovations Lab to build an IP that we leverage in customer engagements resulting in faster, cheaper and better solutions for our customers. For instance, to enable customers ,with sensitive data, offshore their application support, we built a tool called Akiva for data masking. We built a SQR review tool called ‘Scoda’ that improves review productivity by over 60%. For PeopleSoft upgrade alone, we have over 20+tools in our array that reduce costs, time and risk in Upgrades. To lower the cost of PeopleSoft testing, we came up with a PeopleSoft Testing accelerator through our subsidiary, FocusFrame.
We run a program called Customer Value Adds that focuses on cost savings to our customers through automation and productivity improvement. For example, in one PeopleSoft Upgrade alone we saved the customer over $300K!!
The beneficiaries are our clients who enjoy lower costs and risks in our engagements.
